Here’s a report from Christine Casey, recipient of the AAWV Student Travel Award to attend the 2018 USAHA Annual Conference, held last October in Kansas City, MO.
Have you recently worked on a project or developed resources related to animal or public health? Would you like to share it with an enthusiastic audience? Coordinators for the 14th Annual Applied Animal and Public Health Research and Extension Symposium are seeking presenters for the upcoming conference. The symposium is sponsored by the American Association of Extension Veterinarians (AAEV) and will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm in Kansas City, MO. This event coincides with the joint 122nd U.S. Animal Health Association (USAHA) Annual Meeting & 61st American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD) Annual Meeting, which runs from October 18-24.
Abstracts are due by August 1, 2018.

The USAHA Executive Committee recognizes the importance of engaging young leaders in the work of USAHA and its diverse membership. For this reason, AAWV and USAHA are once again partnering to offer a $1,000 travel award for a veterinary student to attend USAHA’s 2017 Annual Meeting. This year’s meeting will be held October 12-18 in San Diego, CA.
