Call for Abstracts…

Have you recently worked on a project or developed resources related to animal or public health? Would you like to share it with an enthusiastic audience? Coordinators for the 14th Annual Applied Animal and Public Health Research and Extension Symposium are seeking presenters for the upcoming conference. The symposium is sponsored by the American Association of Extension Veterinarians (AAEV) and will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm in Kansas City, MO. This event coincides with the joint 122nd U.S. Animal Health Association (USAHA) Annual Meeting & 61st American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD) Annual Meeting, which runs from October 18-24.

Abstracts are due by August 1, 2018.

Interested in Pangolins?

The 2018 International Symposium on Pangolin Care and Conservation will convene experts in Asian and African Species of Pangolin to explore the value of integrative research to save Pangolin species. We welcome individuals who have directly cared for, studied, or are active in pangolin conservation programs. We also welcome experts who are directly involved in pangolin policy at a national, regional, or international level.

National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association – Call for Papers!

The Ed Hiestand Memorial Scholarship is open to veterinary students interested in wildlife rehabilitation. Applicants must write a paper that covers any topic related to a veterinary aspect of wildlife rehabilitation and may consist of a review of literature, a personal case experience, or a research project. The winning student will be awarded free registration to NWRA’s 2018 Symposium, free attendance to the awards banquet, a $500 travel stipend, and will be required to give a 25-minute presentation at the symposium. The symposium will be held from February 27 through March 3, 2018 in Anaheim, CA. Abstracts are due by Friday, December 15, 2017 with the final paper due by Monday, January 15, 2018.
