The Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) has approved Continuing Education (CE) credits for any North American veterinarians attending the 69th WDA & 14th EWDA Joint Virtual Conference. As such, the below policies were determined by RACE.
Veterinarians can earn CE credits through one or both of the following ways:
- Attending live-streamed sessions (CE is available for all sessions; 33.5 credits)
- Viewing recorded sessions and successfully completing follow-up quizzes (CE is only available for the 16 scientific sessions; 20 credits)
If attending live-streamed sessions, CE can be earned in quarter-hour increments (15 minutes = 0.25 credits). However, if viewing recorded sessions, CE can only be earned if the ENTIRE session’s recording is viewed (45-90 minutes = 0.75 – 1.50 credits) and the veterinarian scores higher than 70% on the accompanying quiz (see below). Quizzes are NOT REQUIRED if you are earning CE by attending live-streamed sessions. Access to each recorded session is expected shortly after the conclusion of that session’s live stream and quizzes will commence accepting responses shortly thereafter. All live and recorded sessions will be hosted at e-congress.events/CUENCA2021.
Veterinarians are responsible for tracking their CE on the provided form. Completed forms must be submitted to the AAWV Secretary by Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Forms will be cross-checked against user logs from the conference’s website and the quiz results to confirm that each veterinarian has fulfilled all CE requirements. Certificates will be confirmed and redistributed upon request no earlier than October 1, 2021.
